Ledger.com/start is the official setup page for Ledger hardware wallets. Whether you’re using a Ledger Nano S Plus, Ledger Nano X, or Ledger Stax, this guide helps you complete your setup securely and start managing your cryptocurrency with confidence.
Visiting Ledger.com/start ensures you begin your Ledger journey using verified tools and instructions. This official page helps you avoid fake downloads, phishing websites, and unsafe guides that could compromise your recovery phrase or crypto assets.
The setup begins by downloading Ledger Live, the official app for managing your Ledger hardware wallet. Ledger Live allows you to install crypto apps, add accounts, track balances, and verify transactions securely.
Desktop: Windows, macOS, Linux
Mobile: iOS and Android
Works with all Ledger hardware models
After installation, open Ledger Live and choose your device model to continue.
Power on your Ledger device and choose “Set up as new device.”
You’ll be prompted to create a 4-8 digit PIN code. This PIN protects your device from unauthorized access.
Your Ledger device will display a 24-word Recovery Phrase. This phrase is your backup and the only way to recover access to your crypto if your wallet is lost or damaged.
Never take a photo or screenshot of your phrase
Do not store it on your phone or computer
Write it down on paper and keep it offline
Never share your recovery phrase with anyone
Ledger will never ask for your 24 words
Once your device is initialized, connect it to Ledger Live to complete the setup.
Install apps for the coins you want to manage such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Litecoin. Then add accounts to start sending, receiving, and storing assets securely.
All important actions require verification on your Ledger device’s screen, ensuring full protection from unauthorized transactions.
